Tips for caring for your lawn.

Each season has different care requirments:

    Summer (Typically December to February):

  • CVC&C can help keep your grass mowed frequently.
  • Maintaining an optimum grass height of 6.5cm to 10cm will help retain moisture.
  • You should encourage deep root development by watering deeply but infrequently.

    Autumn (Typically March to May):

  • CVC&C suggest to continue mowing schedule as required.
  • We can help with thin areas of your lawn. This can be addressed by a process known as over-seeding.
  • CVC&C can supply and apply the correct balanced fertiliser for your lawn. This should be applied before winter to strengthen the roots.

    Winter (Typically June to August):

  • CVC&C suggest that the frequency of your mowing should now be reduced.
  • We can help with clearing debris from on your lawn. This is required to prevent disease.
  • Whilst your grass is dorment it is important to avoid excessive foot traffic.

    Spring (Typically September to November):

  • CVC&C can help address the growth of weeds early. This will improve the root growth of your grass.
  • We can help you to aerate your soil. Aeration of the soil is important to promote lush healthy grass growth.
  • CVC&C can provide and apply a good quality high-nitrogen fertilizer.
